Welcome all 2016 LWLC youth families,
 
We are all excited about the upcoming season and have quite a bit of info to share!  This is the most current information, and we will update you with any changes as the season approaches.

Raffle Tickets
  • Raffle ticket pick-up & drop off will be held Thursday, February 11th & 18th at Hallmark Sports Club 10850 W. Laraway, Frankfort, IL from 6:30- 7:30 pm.  Last drop off will be February 18th.  Contact Dave Daugherty d.daugherty@comcast.net or hsdirector@lincolnwaylacrosse.com with any questions regarding raffle ticket pick-up & drop off. The raffle ticket drawing is currently scheduled for February 22nd.  
 
Wall Ball
  • Wall ball is available for registered spring players.  A typical wall ball session takes approximately 15 minutes and you are more than welcome to stay or go after it is completed.  There have been coaches running simple drills and you are more than welcome to join in.  You are not obligated to participate in these drills.  If you need room to get on the wall, then ask one of the adult supervisors and they will move the drills down the alley to accommodate you.  Get those reps in!

*You are required to wear your helmet at all times in the alley!
*Allow room for our goalies to train!
*Wear your gloves and helmet while playing wall ball!
*Use this opportunity as much as you can!
*Be a good role model at all times!  Help your teammates and youth players!
 
Equipment Rental
  • Equipment Rental Registration is open!  We need all players that are renting equipment to register now to secure your equipment.  All equipment rental forms can be found by using the Equipment Rental tab on our web site  lincolnwaylacrosse.com  Contact Kent Sieb at kentsthermalseal@sbcglobal.net or director4@lincolnwaylacrosse.com with all questions regarding rental equipment.

Outdoor Practice Schedule
  • 4H Francis Fields, 521 East Francis Road, New Lenox
  • Outdoor Practice will begin the week of April 4th.  Weather permitting, outdoor practice may be provided the week of March 21st.
  • Any practices held over Spring Break are at our coaches discretion and are not mandatory.  It would just be an opportunity to get outside if the weather cooperates for those in town.
  • U9 will practice every Tuesday & Thursday 5:30- 7:30pm.  *Additional practices may be provided.
  • U11, U13 & U15  will practice every Tuesday & Thursday 5:30- 7:30pm.  *Additional 3rd day practice will be provided at U11, U13 & U15 and will be decided by your coach.
 
Team Selection
  • We will currently have two teams at U9, U11 & U13.  U15 will have one team.
  • Team structure & placement will be finalized before April 4th.
 
Uniforms/ Helmet Decals
  • The first uniform order was submitted on January 15, 2015.
  • The second uniform order will be submitted this Monday February 8th.
  • Complete helmet decal order was submitted on January 15, 2015.
  • Uniform & helmet decal hand out TBA.
 
Youth Coaching
  • All of our youth coaches are volunteers and we can't do it without them!
  • We will need a couple additional coaches at U9 with the addition of the second team.  We will get you up to speed, and you will find it to be a lot of fun!
  • We will need a couple assistant coaches at U11.
  • We will provide the structure & support our youth coaches need this year.
  • Interested coaches should contact Dave Dingle youthdirector@lincolnwaylacrosse.com, or we will come and find you...haha.
 
Volunteering
  • Our program is completely operated by volunteers, so we are always looking for people that go above and beyond.
  • Requirements for the fulfillment of volunteer duties will be provided before the beginning of the season.
  • We need two parents per team to take the lead.
    • Team Parent - Assist with communicating with the team, enter game results and team news/ pics, assign and track the team volunteer duties.
    • Team Manager - Assist with game day set up of the players on the sideline, create water schedule, assist with assigning and tracking the team volunteer duties.

League Schedule
  • We will participate in the IBLA again this year.  The IBLA includes 4 home games, 4 away games, 1 exhibition game & 1 playoff game.
  • We will not know the game schedule until after March 15th.

    • February 25: Positive Coaching Alliance 7-9pm (coaches only)
    • March 13: Game Scheduling Meeting (Board Members only)
    • April 9: First Game 
    • June 9: All Star Game 4-9:30pm
    • June 11-12: Playoffs
  • A few additional non-IBLA games will also be scheduled.
  • Beginning in April and ending in June, games will be played every Saturday and/or Sunday. *Currently we have no plans on scheduling games over Memorial Day Weekend.
 
Tournament Schedule
  • All teams, including U9, will attend one overnight tournament & one local tournament.
  • Washington Invitational Lacrosse Tournament on May 21 & 22 located in Washington, IL is an overnight tournament.  Info on web is not current. http://washingtonlacrosseclub.com/tournament/information_2015
    • Hotel Info *There are rooms in two hotels and the hotels are connected.
      • Rooms have been set aside for Lincoln-Way Lacrosse attending the 2016 Washington Invitational, please follow the below instructions no later than May 1, 2016 to make your reservations.
         
        Step 1: Go to www.epntravel.net
         
        Step 2: Click on the "Login" Tab
         
        Step 3: If you have not done so already, Create an Account (everyone must have an account in order to book through EPN)
         
        Step 4: Once Logged in, Click on the "Booking Code" tab
         
        Step 5: Enter the booking code: LWLax (booking codes are case sensitive)
         
        Step 6: Select the Tournament you are attending
         
        Step 7: Select Book Now at the Hotel you wish to stay in
         
        Step 8: Complete your individual reservation information and then click Register.
         
        Step 9: Your reservation is complete and you will receive an email outlining your reservation information.
         
        *You will not be asked to provide credit card information, EPN will guarantee the room for late arrival, and you will pay at check in to the hotel

Spirit wear

  • We have two different spirit wear orders this year, and the stores will be open until Feb 22.
  • Traditional spirit wear is one order.
  • Bling spirit wear is the second order.
